How to avoid dehydration

People normally complain a lot about dehydration especially in Summer. Human body may suffer from dehydration because of sweating, urinating as well as breathing. Dehydration is a condition that results when the body loses more water than it takes in. Such imbalance disrupts the levels of minerals and sugar in the blood, which can affect with the way human body functions. Severe diarrhea occurs or serious illness conditions normally increase the likeliness of dehydration. The most common reasons for dehydration are: . Vomiting and diarrhea . Not drinking enough water in hot weather . Having fever or high temperature . Urination due to kidney disease or specific treatment To overcome dehydration, here are some tips for you: . Drink plenty of water and fluids in general . Drink water with salt or sugar when dizzy because of dehydration. Lie down and put the legs at a higher position than the head . Avoid drinks that are high in caffeine as they increase the need to urinate. . Avoid exposure to sun heat especially during fasting hours. . Eat fruits and vegetables that are rich in water, such as; watermelon, peach, pear, apricot, and orange. Should the dehydration get worse, do seek medical advice immediately as it may be necessary to supplement the body with the necessary liquids via the intravene.
