Food not for refrigerator

Finding the right place and method to store food basically depends on the food type or family. Not all can be stored in the same place and according to the same method.

Women often make mistakes with some types of fruits and vegetables as they store them in the refrigerator, thinking that cooling will preserve them, while it forces them to lose their nutritional value and taste.

Here are some of the foods that should never be frozen:

Honey: There is no need to store honey in the refrigerator. Honey does not need a cold surrounding environment to preserve its taste. All it needs is to be put it in a tightly closed container.

Coffee: Keeping coffee in the fridge makes it lose its taste, in addition to the fact that coffee absorbs surrounding scents. Coffee should be placed in a dark, dry place to maintain its flavor. If you want to store a large amount of coffee, it is advisable to put it in the freezer.

Fried food: If you put fried chicken, for example, in the fridge, it will turn wet and will eventually lose the crunchiness that distinguishes it. It is advisable to preserve food in its original form and only fry suitable quantities so that you won’t end up with leftovers.

Green power: Keep the salad or vegetables, do not put them in the refrigerator because they are stung and a large amount of water is put in them, but you can put them in the refrigerator after drying and wrapping them in a clean piece of cloth.

Garlic: Keeping garlic in the fridge makes it soft and chewy, so it is best to put it in a cool, dry place.

Potato: Keeping potato in a cold environment turns starch into sugar at a very fast base, which changes the taste to be sweet-potato-like. The best way to store potato is to put it in a paper box or carton, because plastic brings mold to it.
